Humanness Channels Plausibility Plausibility is a word that refers to the believableness of beliefs—the degree of credibility, worth, or trustworthiness we assign to a belief or view of the world. When our beliefs have a high level of plausibility they are more static, fixed, and stable. Each belief holds its place in the web of ideas that make up our view of reality. But when plausibility ebbs and a belief or cluster of beliefs becomes less believable, the network becomes imbalanced, frangible, and primed to shift.
